Fall Festival and Haunted Hayride 2015

·         Your assigned campsite is:  Travis

·         Your wristband color is: RED (see the charts below for your dinner and hayride times)

·         If your Pack is arriving Friday night, please check in with the Camp Ranger or Camp Master for directions to your campsite.  There is no event check-in on Friday night.

·         PLEASE COMPLETE THE UNIT ROSTER FORM prior to arrival (see link, above)

BRING WITH YOU FOR THE DAY:  water bottles (Styrofoam cups will only be available during meals), close-toed walking shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks and rain gear (just in case).

DIRECTIONS TO FALL FESTIVAL:  Once you arrive at the main entrance gate to Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (SR2), drive approx. 1.75 miles to the gazebo by the first Ranger’s house.   Continue approx. 0.34 miles to the Buchanan Springs turn-off, then TURN LEFT.  Use the attached map to find your campsite.

SPEED LIMITS:  Speed limit on the main SR2 road is 25 mph.  For the safety of everyone, please obey this speed limit.  The speed limit everywhere else on SR2 property is10 mph OR LESS.  Please watch for livestock, Scouts and other cars.

CAMPSITE ROADS:  The road leading into Buchanan Springs is very rutted, with lots of exposed rocks.   This is especially true for the road leading up to Travis, San Jacinto and San Saba campsites.  Please drive carefully on the camp roads.

CAMPSITES:  Each pack is assigned a campsite.  Many of you will be sharing the same campsite with another pack(s).  Look for the sign with your pack’s number on it.  Please keep the footprint of your pack’s campsite to a minimum so others will have room to set up.

CHECK-IN:  Saturday @ 12 noon at the Buchanan Springs Activity Building.  Please send only one adult to pick up your Pack’s event wristbands (which will be required for activities, hayride, meals and general safety) and patches.  Please provide a completed Pack Roster containing the names of all youth and adults in camp (we use the roster to find someone in case of an emergency, etc.).
